Nepali Journalists to Converge in Tokyo for INNJA Tokyo Conference 2024

Tokyo, Japan – Nepali journalists are set to gather in Tokyo for the much-anticipated INNJA Tokyo Conference 2024, organized by the International Network for Nepali Journalists (INNJA). The event, scheduled to commence from February 28th to March 1st, 2024, will take place at the esteemed Galois Hotels in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

The INNJA Tokyo Conference 2024 is poised to attract a diverse array of media professionals from Nepal, the United States, Korea, the Middle East, Europe, and various other countries. With a thematic focus on “The Impact of Social Media, Ethical Journalism Practices, and the Future of Media Technology,” the conference aims to foster meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and networking opportunities among participants.

In the inaugural phase of the event, Nepali diplomats will engage in discussions with Japanese media representatives on the 29th of February. Subsequently, on March 1st, a public interactive session will be hosted with the Nepali community, led by Guna Raj Luitel, President of INNJA.

The conference holds particular significance as it coincides with the founding anniversary of INNJA. Ananda Koirala, Coordinator of the INNJA Tokyo Conference, expressed excitement about the event, emphasizing its role in promoting professional development and international collaboration among Nepali journalists.

Ananda Koirala further highlighted the efforts undertaken to ensure the smooth participation of Nepali journalists, including the facilitation of visitor visa applications through diplomatic channels. In this regard, a formal request has been submitted to His Excellency Mr. KIKUTA Yutaka, Ambassador of Japan to Nepal, seeking assistance in expediting the visa process for the Nepali journalist delegation.
